<RULE> DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY <SUBAGY>Coast Guard</SUBAGY> <CFR>33 CFR Part 165</CFR> <DEPDOC>[Docket No. USCG-2024-0522]</DEPDOC> <SUBJECT>Safety Zone; LaPointe Fireworks, LaPointe, WI</SUBJECT> <HD SOURCE="HED">AGENCY:</HD> Coast Guard, DHS. <HD SOURCE="HED">ACTION:</HD> Notification of enforcement of regulation. <SUM> <HD SOURCE="HED">SUMMARY:</HD> The Coast Guard will enforce the safety zone for the LaPointe Fireworks in LaPointe, WI from 9:30 p.m. through 10:30 p.m. on July 4, 2024. This action is necessary to protect participants and spectators during the LaPointe Fireworks taking place at 46°46′40″ N, 090°47′22″ W in the North Channel off LaPointe. During the enforcement period, entry into, transiting, or anchoring within the safety zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Duluth or designated on-scene representative. </SUM> <EFFDATE> <HD SOURCE="HED">DATES:</HD> The regulations in 33 CFR 165.943(b) will be enforced from 9:30 p.m. through 10:30 p.m. on July 04, 2024, for the LaPointe Fireworks safety zone, § 165.943(a). </EFFDATE> <FURINF> <HD SOURCE="HED">FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT:</HD> If you have questions on this document, call or email MST1 Corbin Spies, telephone (218) 725-3818, email <E T="03">DuluthWWM@uscg.mil</E> . </FURINF> <SUPLINF> <HD SOURCE="HED">SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:</HD> The Coast Guard will enforce the safety zone for the annual LaPointe Fireworks in 33 CFR 165.943(a) from 9:30 p.m. through 10:30 p.m. on July 4, 2024, on all waters of Lake Superior bounded by the arc of a circle with a 1,120-foot radius from the fireworks launch site with its center in position 46°46′40″ N, 090°47′22″ W. Entry into, transiting, or anchoring within the safety zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Duluth or their designated on-scene representative. The Captain of the Port's designated on-scene representative may be contacted via VHF Channel 16. This document is issued under authority of 33 CFR 165.943 and 5 U.S.C. 552(a).
