This proposed information collection was previously published in the <E T="04">Federal Register</E> (89 FR 76865) on September 19, 2024, allowing for a 60-day comment period. This notice allows for an additional 30 days for public comments. This process is conducted in accordance with 5 CFR 1320.8. Written comments and suggestions from the public and affected agencies should address one or more of the following four points: (1) whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information will have practical utility; (2) the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; (3) suggestions to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and (4) suggestions to minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are to respond, including through the use of appropriate automated, electronic, mechanical, or other technological collection techniques or other forms of information technology, <E T="03">e.g.,</E> permitting electronic submission of responses. The comments that are submitted will be summarized and included in the request for approval. All comments will become a matter of public record. <HD SOURCE="HD1">Overview of This Information Collection</HD> <E T="03">Title:</E> Application for Exportation of Articles under Special Bond. <E T="03">OMB Number:</E> 1651-0004. <E T="03">Form Number:</E> 3495. <E T="03">Current Actions:</E> CBP proposes to extend the expiration date of this information collection with no change to the burden hours or to the information being collected. <E T="03">Type of Review:</E> Extension (without change). <E T="03">Affected Public:</E> Businesses. <E T="03">Abstract:</E> CBP Form 3495, <E T="03">Application for Exportation of Articles Under Special Bond,</E> is an application for exportation of articles entered under temporary bond pursuant to chapter 98, subchapter XIII, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (19 U.S.C. 1202), and 19 CFR 10.38. CBP Form 3495 is used by importers to notify CBP that the importer intends to export goods designated for examination that were subject to a duty exemption based on a temporary stay in this country. It also serves as a permit to export in order to satisfy the importer's obligation to export the same goods and thereby get a duty exemption.
