Discrete, trackable obligations extracted from proposed rules, final rules, and the Code of Federal Regulations.
Each requirement represents a specific legal duty, prohibition, or condition imposed on regulated parties, and is tracked over time as it is proposed, adopted, modified, codified, or corrected.
FRTracker extracts regulatory requirements from Federal Register documents as they are processed. This happens automatically, roughly 10-20 documents per hour.
Why not instant? Extraction is deterministic and rule-based—we only extract from REGTEXT sections with concrete action verbs. Many regulatory documents (especially FAA Airworthiness Directives) incorporate requirements by reference to external documents, yielding zero extracted requirements.
Check back periodically—the database grows with each cron run. You can also subscribe to the RSS feed to be notified of new extractions.
